Fundraising letters

Today, I sent out 45 fundraising letters. I had sent out e-mails and some facebook messages before and had gotten some ok response. Today I went for good old fashioned snail mail. I sent these to people that I had e-mailed also, but that had not responded. There are people out there that would rather see the effort put into getting a letter in the mail than just an e-mail. Also, it's so easy for an e-mail to just be deleted or to be read on an blackberry or iphone when they are on the go and don't have time to donate right then. They may never go back and look at that e-mail again. If you haven't sent out actual letters I strongly recommend doing so. While letters can get thrown in the trash or put at the bottom of the junk mail pile that letter is more likely to get more notice. Also, don't forget to follow up once a month to update them on your training progress and the fundraising progress.

Good luck!
